As a new salon (or at least new owners ) it’s easy to want to buy every new product, offer every new service, and be convinced to spend thousands of dollars on advertising with everything from thumpy late-night local tv commercials or a dozen flashing shot glasses with our logo on one side and our slogan on the other. As much as we’d love to do it all, of course we can not.
That being said, having heard the rumors and seen the demo for the Keratin Complex Smoothing System, we bit the bullet, clicked our pens, open our checkbooks and signed the dotted line. We couldn’t be happier!
The Keratin system is the latest in frizz control and curl relaxation. This non-chemical treatment virtually eliminates frizz and, depending on your level of curl, will take your light waves to silky smooth and straight, or your tight, out-of-control frizz, to soft bohemian waves that blowdry straight with little effort or frustration. Better yet, your hair will be stronger, softer, and shinier than before as there is no chemical damage, and can be done over color and chemically treated/damaged hair.
The cons? Pack a lunch. Though not complicated or painful, the treatment does take between three and four hours to properly apply and set. You can’t wash your hair for three full days, so schedule this at least a week before any big events. And finally, throw away those fancy straightening shampoos. Keratin makes their own sulfate-free shampoo and conditioners to minimize treatment breakdown and faster than normal fading (however most styling products are safe to use, so keep those. We know you like them the best anyway). No so bad right? RIGHT!
Now lets talk price. We understand that these days spending large sums of money on new wave (or do we mean NO wave ) hair treatments probably isn’t on the top of anybody’s “to do”, which is why we have put together a summer special:

Compared to some chemical relaxers which can reach up to six, seven and sometimes eight hundred dollars, leave your hair feeling like hay, and smell like something you should have checked the expiration on, thats not too bad. Get it done three or four times a year and the hours saved from styling and the loss of humidity induced anxiety make this non-committal treatment, if not miraculous, at least genius, and thus worth a try.
